Location: 188 State Route 146
Overview
Located on Route 146, approximately one-half mile south of U.S. Route 20, Tawasentha Park was officially opened to residents in 1969. The land for this park consists of 200 acres of rolling wooded areas and open play areas located in the center of the Town of Guilderland. The park is renowned for its beautiful gardens.

Hours
Tawasentha Park is open year-round from dawn until dusk.
Parking
Resident parking is free with a parking sticker obtained from either the Parks and Recreation office, Town Clerk's office, Transfer Station and the Park's entrance booth attendant.
Non-resident parking is $10 per vehicle during the week and $20 per vehicle on weekends and holidays.
Overnight parking, camping, and hunting are prohibited.
Trails
In 2008, the Town of Guilderland opened the bridge linking the Tawasentha Park main trails to the trails at the Winter Recreation area. The hiking trails at the park include three sections:
- Main park loop
- Winter recreation area
- Community gardens sections

Hikers can enjoy the picturesque views of the Normanskill, ravines, waterfalls, open meadows, and woodland terrain. Binoculars are recommended to view the local wildlife and bird species that make the woods and meadows their home.
